Slow then grow; Investing in the markets’ big reset
Investors are concerned and fearful these days. With wars in Europe and the Middle East, tensions high between the US and China and elections coming up in America and 10 other countries, there is a great deal of geopolitical uncertainty. And we think fearfulness has kept many investors on the sidelines. But when it comes to the global economy, there is a different picture unfolding.
We forecast that the US economy is going to slow as we enter 2024 and improve as the year ends, leading us to a much better 2025. We do not expect a traditional US recession, nor do we expect a V-shaped economy.
